You in the new classroom. Your first week has gone well. No more one-on-one aide, no more compression vest, no more pencil toppers, putty, bands and star chart. You have been excited to go to school. You have gotten right in and out of the car. You give me a kiss and walk right into the room with no problem. You are sitting either with your class or the whole class when I come to get you and are paying so much attention to what you are doing that you don't even see me for a few minutes. With the exception of one day, you have come in from recess without running when it's time. You are not picking at the scab on your head as much. You are calming down at home. We HOPE this is the answer for you. We want so very much for it to be. We want YOU back, our sweet, eager little boy!
I think the biggest adjustment has been for me - not to see you at school. To get you and Ryan ready that little bit earlier to leave for school. Getting to work late and leaving early to pick you up. Checking with your teacher once a day to see how you have been. Thankfully, she has been really open about talking to me at least once a day to tell me how everything is going. I'm so appreciative of that! We will continue to adjust and go forward. Hoping all the way that this is the answer for you!

Saying goodbye. Your last day at school. Mommy and Daddy have been searching and researching for better options for school for you. We decided to switch schools now, hoping and praying that this will be a better option for you and that you will love it. If it doesn't work, then we will (hopefully) know by next year and then can plan accordingly. We've switched you to a MIMD class of 1st, 2nd & 3rd graders that is mixed in with a typical 2nd grade classroom. This program is one of a kind in Mesa. We were heartbroken to take you out of our school. They have bent over backwards to make things work for you, but it's just not working. They had added a compression vest, pencil toppers (you would chew on the pencil end - not safe), putty, bands and a star chart. But you were still acting out, not happy to go to school in the morning, and it was spilling over to home too. So time for a switch. Your friends were so, so sad to see you leave. A day doesn't go by that at least one of them doesn't stop me and aske me about you and to tell you hello for them. I miss you terribly at school. So used to watching for you in the halls, at lunch and at recess. So used to checking in with your teacher and aide to see how your day was going. We've heard some so-so things about the program, teacher and school and we've heard really good things about the teacher, program and school. So hard to filter through and make a decision.
Back to this day - it was your turn to do calendar this week and I heard all week how very cute you were while doing it. Since we were leaving early this day anyway (go visit the new school for the afternoon), I snuck in to watch with my camera. And yep - you were VERY cute doing it!

Easter! You both woke up early (of course) @ 6:30am. We went out to see the goodies that the Easter Bunny had left. Baskets and a movie each (Chipmunks Squeakquel for Matthew and Planet 51 for Ryan). The Easter Bunny left clues for the movies and you had to search for them. We went to Gma's for a swim and lunch that afternoon.

Miss Lynnette brought cupcakes for you to frost, decorate and then eat today! You had to frost them, color some coconut and add it, then use licorice and M&M's to make a face on the bunny one. Then she had some egg shaped ones that you drizzled icing on top of after you frosted it! You loved eating them afterwards, after you took the licorice off, of course! LOL! And you wouldn't touch the coconut one...
We made our annual track over the this Easter Bunny again this year and got to talking with the owner about how many photos we've taken over the years with him. I have a few years that are missing (an honestly - I think they are on film somewhere), but it's fun to see how much they've grown!
A front yard down the street from me! Gorgeous poppies!!!!!
I used Little Bee action by My4HensPhotography and a texture from ShadowHouseCreations.
I know that I have a lot more to share here, but wanted to post this. I have my P52 photos for each week and have lots to share (lots of new things happening), but don't have the time right now! So here's about today!
