Bitten again. Michael tried to surprise me last Sat. with the movie when it came out, but he didn't realize that you could get the 3 disc set for the same price. I took his back to get the one I wanted and came out with the Director's book too. The Movie Companion one I have borrowed from the library. Still haven't watched the movie again...
Matthew playing with PlayDoh with his ST. He decided they needed to play golf, so they made a "hole" out of the orange and a club & ball out of the white!
We went out front to play for awhile this afternoon and Ryan drew this Space Shuttle on the sidewalk. He's been "into" space alot this last couple of week's...
And here's a photo of Matthew, cause it's cute!
Today was World Down syndrome Day!
We tried to go to Luke Days at Luke AFB, but after getting there, getting to the parking lot and seeing how long the line was to get in, we opted not to go! It was a huge bummer, but it was 1pm in the afternoon already and we knew how crowded it would already be inside there. So this is the 2 of you, on the way back home. Ryan not smiling for the camera and Matthew giving me his serious face...
We recieved a started of Amish Friendship bread from one of Ryan's friends. Today was the day to make the new starters and actually bake the bread. So yummy and cinnamony! I put chocolate chips in one for Ryan and Matthew. Ryan loves it and Matthew only eats the chocolate chips out of it (but he love banana bread with chocolate chips!).
Matthew's OT brought a Memory Game for him to play today also - LOL! He had so much fun with it and really was good at it! :)
We went to the library this afternoon (to pick up my Sookie books - yay!) and after we came home - I looked over to find this...
I hope he's not getting sick! Not 2 minutes after I took this, the dog came over and woke him up.
Lazy day today on Spring Break. We are just enjoying being at home. Ryan got out his HO train and made a small track in his room. Matthew decided to look through the tunnel at me - LOL!
I made a corned beef in the crock pot last night, so am about to go make a Rueben sandwich for myself.
I am waiting on the next 3 Sookie Stackhouse books to be ready for me at the library. I read the 1st one likety split and am so ready to start the next one. One is in transit, so they should be ready today or tomorrow. Hopefully today! :)
My brother sent me a DVD with the wedding photos on it today. Hopefully I'll have time to play with it a bit and maybe scrap! :)
Matthew's Speech Therapist brought a Blue's Clues Memory game for them to play today. Here he had just gotten a match!
Today was a project day around the house. the 2 of you played Matthew's new Wii game - Petz Sports - together for quite a while!
Music Therapy today. Matthew is beginning to play "Doh Re Mi" and is a pro at Chopsticks on the piano...
The Kindergarten classes had their Elmer Day Parade on the last day of school before Spring Break. I was at the front of the parade with my kiddos and Matthew was towards the back with his class. But as I was on my way out, he'd be on his way in and hollering "Mommy!" Here he's showing me his Elmer!
All the fruit trees out front are in full bloom. The lemon tree is almost over, in fact. But I caught this little bee enjoying the blossoms!
We had an early release day at school today, so I headed to Diane's house to work a bit. Stopped at my favorite spot to shoot for 10 minutes and got this!
Tonight was the solo/duet/trio concert for band at school. Ryan opted to play "Skip to my Lou" with Mr. Anderson, the Band Director. He did really well and we are so proud of him!
Happy Birthday Matthew!
Cake wasn't enough - I had to get these cute cupcakes for him too - and, of course, take some photos!
At school, I was able to join his room for a bit to watch him celebrate with his friends at school. First they made a pretend cake - adding the ingredients and counting. Then they made a felt birthday cake. Finally singing "Happy Birthday" to him and sharing in the little cupcakes I'd gotten with juice boxes...
After Daddy got home, we let him pick where he wanted to go to dinner, which was Fuddruckers! So off for french fries, a shake, a cookie and games to play - he loves to race the cars! I think he had a pretty good birthday! :)
His 7th birthday party! Here he is rockin' out to everyone singing "Happy Birthday" to him...
We had a few friends and family over for a few hours to celebrate. He got lots of Spongebob present from us - 2 PS2 games, a Wii game, a shirt, flipflops a little digital camera and an Indiana Jones t-shirt too. Lots of gift cards to WalMart, Blockbuster, McDonald's, and a little cash too from the others. He LOVES opening presents!
The Thompsons had gone to see Madagascar 2 with us and had watched him dancing in the isles to "Move It". They found this super cute card that sings that song when you open it. He got up and danced again! :) Loved it!
Michael and I debated about what to do for a cake. In the end - I made a 9x13 cake, inverted it and frosted it to be a (armless legless) Spongebob! I think it turned out really good! Tasted good too!
Dancing to the "Happy Birthday" chorus...
We went to a birhtday party at a park today! Gorgeous day! There were these pretty trees with some low branches and I had the boys sit for a photo!
They rented a bouncy...
And they ate ice cream cone cakes....
I had done something different with my hair today. It's so long right now, that it pretty much taken to pretty straight. So I curled it - took way too long to do, but it was curly and I thought - kinda cute. Not one person ( other than Matthew's MT) said anything about it, so it must not have looked as cute as I thought! :)
Tomorrow we have Matthew's birthday party! Fun, fun Spongebob fun!
I've actually done a couple pages in the last couple days too!
Luckiest Girl - using today's photos and some new goodies from TheDigiChick.
