Not a great photo, but it is healing...

I wanted to go ahead and get the blog catch up on the Photos of the Day - so there are alot of posts below. For people, like Grammie, on dial-up - they are all here, for you to look at...

Tons of things going on in the next few days. Matthew has Music therapy today and then a doctor's (follow-up) appointment. He came down with double ear infections on last Fri. Had a shot of antibiotics in each legs to treat them. On Monday - the infection was still in one ear, so he got another round of shots. Today is to check on the ear. Tomorrow - Friday - is the Carnival at the boys school again. I have been on the commitee and am in charge of one of the games. Saturday - we have a Playgroup with SDSA , which I am helping out with and need to go get some snacks for... and then Matthew has a baseball game. My mom is in KS to be with her mom, my grandma, who isn't doing very well right now. She'll be 91 in Aug.! We decided on Monday to re-arrange some things here at the house in our office/playroom and our bedroom. So - have to continue to find homes for things in those spots. We need to have a garage sale, but I am just sick of having things around the house that need to be gone, so we'll see if it gets donated or sold.

I have a ton of scrapping to do too and haven't done any yet! :)

Okay - I'm off! :) Have a great day!

We've - ok, the boys - have been swimming everyday since Monday. But this photo is about his shoulder. I (stupidly) let them give him his 2nd chicken pox booster shot on Monday. Stupid - because of all he's had going on this week. As you can see - he had some sort of a reaction - see his shoulder?

This hanging basket hangs on our backporch every year. Every year I plant a ivy geranium in it. And every year about the time it takes off, it gets too hot and the plant dies. This year's plant has so many blooms on it! I've never had one that has bloomed this much!

Update...

After I got Matthew home from school and done with his therapy on Friday, I could tell he had a fever. I called the doc office, but they close down from noon till 2pm for lunch. So I called back again at like 2:45 and leave a message for a nurse. When she calls back, I go through everything (again) that has happened and that he has a fever now. They have appointments on Sat. morning (they were full on Fri.), but you are supposed to call and make an appointment at 7:45 am that morning. But she agrees that he needs to be seen and makes us an appointment. He asks again last night to go to bed and was there and asleep by 7:30 (and slept til 7am), but woke up several times in the night, ending up in bed with me (glued to my side) at 4:30am. His mouth looked better again this morning and he was cooler, but I could still tell he has a fever. Doc confirmed that he has double ear infections and his throat was red. He got 2 shots of an antibiotic, one in each leg. She says his lip looks good. I beg to differ after getting a good look at it this afternoon. He fell asleep on the couch (after the 1st photo was taken) and I got a good look at it (2nd photo). (He also went to sleep at 7:10pm tonight) It looks to me like the stitches popped and that there is a gap there. I soooooo hope that it heals well!

My poor, sweet baby's face. At least he got antibiotics finally. I should have insisted on one Monday night after they told me that they don't give any normally. His lip wouldn't have gotten infected and he probally wouldn't have ear infections either. The snotty cold that he has the beginnings of probally would still be here, but oh well. You live and you learn.
Well - I'm heading off to get ready to watch The Memory Keepers Daughter... Nite!

Stitches update...

I thought this morning that it looked like his lip was yucky and kinda pus-y, but I couldn't tell at all. I took him to school (debating the whole way). When I picked him up, I took him by the nurses station to look at it. She thought it looked ok, but suggested I try to put some Neosporin on it tonight when he sleeps. Tonight at 5pm-ish, it was definitely oozing some pus. And he was just (ewww - gross) licking it off his lip (not knowing what it was). I took him and gave him a quick shower and after drying him off - it was really looking better, not as red and not oozing. It's not nearly as swollen looking either. So, we'll see what it looks like tomorrow. So nerve racking! :) I think I will call the doc's office tomorrow just to check and see if I should take him back in.
In other news... The Memory Keepers Daughter will air on Lifetime on Saturday night. Yes, I'm going to watch!

Doc Appointment went ok...

She said she thought every thing looks good! I beg to differ, but oh well! - LOL! It's alot more swollen today (which is to be expected), red and crusty (to be expected). He's starting to pick at it, which really worries me! He also got into a stamp - hence the blue on his face (and tongue - LOL!). We kept him home from school again today - just didn't want him there yet. Will take him tomorrow and hope nothing happens. Just so worried he'll fall or somehow run into something and the whole thing will split open again! I know - such a worry wart. I'm just so hating the fact that he will have a scar there and don't want it any worse than it is.
Went back today and ended up getting a case to make the harddrive an external and it is working like a charm with everything there! YAY!!!! The DVD drive is another matter. I can get it in there and hook it up, but I just can not get it to work. So I took it back out for now. (sticking my tongue out at it)
K- need to get to bed. Keep on reading down - trying to get my POTD photos caught up - so read until you've read no more.
And ps... I've lost any and all e-mail addy's for those of you who comment - so shoot me an e-mail from your account so I can add them again and answer you! :)
