The temps have been in the 80's the last couple days - the heat is really making the blooms on the trees "pop".

He was cracking himself up - LOL! I got a call from school yesterday that he had gotten sick at school. I came and got him, brought him home and he proceeded to play and play. He wanted his superman costume down. I hear him a little later and find him in the bathroom, standing in the sink - flexing his muscles - ROFL!
A little bit later the sick returned and stayed the night...

His favorite toy right now is Matthew's Discovery ball! Pretty funny, but what ever works! He's very big on taking walks right now - we went one this morning, came back and about a 1/2 an hour later, he barked. I looked and he was under where his lease hangs looking at it, so we went for another one...

In my car on the way to Dianes'. It was Diane's birthday on Tuesday. I have brought her a mini rose bush for a present for the last, oh-what, 4 years? She enjoys them for a bit and then plants it in her gorgeous yard.

We went to friends to have lunch and visit for a bit. Matthew was in toy heaven! He sat in this corner for a long time, just browsing everything. He crawled in that tent (in the background) with a book and I couldn't find him - LOL!

Quick update...

We had more rain again today. So much rain lately...

I've been wearing my volunteer hat lately. The Carnival Commitee is in full swing again at the boys school. I volunteered to get boxes for donations, cover them and set them up and found myself in charge of collected and sorting the donations too! :) While I was there yesterday, I helped out the School Counselor by making lots of copies for her.

Last night was BoxTop-apoloza. I had to finish cutting out nicely, check dates and bundle in groups of 50. There were 479. Luckily I only had on classroom to do.
This morning I went back to do 2 more boxes, for they only had one for me on Thurs.
This one of Smokey was from yesterday too. He was outside alot yesterday (today quite a bit too - he was asleep outside in the rain for a bit, and then I made him come in!). I thought this was so cute to see him asleep on Michael's flippies. And it's a really good size indicator, one that shows how big he's gotten and one that we can look back on later and say "awww - look how small he was...".

Off to try to scrap. Have a page started, but it's not flowing. Dagum mojo has fled me big time right now. I think it's being sucked up by the photo a day to a certain degree. Hummmmmmm. We'll see.

Here's the monster boy. He had a big week this week. He ate (yes - ATE) a doll scarf that was about a foot long on Sunday afternoon. I was chasing him around the backyard, trying to get it back and he was stuffing it in his mouth as fast as he could. I thought is was in his mouth - but not so. It was long gone into his little tummy. We worried about him for the next few days, but he seems to be "passing" it - LOL! He turned 12 wks on Sunday, had a shot on Tuesday and his first vet visit this morning (a well-puppy check up - he's good!) He was such a good boy there too. He's 22 pounds of puppy already (wish I'd thought to weigh him when we got him) and is scheduled for his next round of shots in 3 weeks. He's still waking up at 5:30am - Ugh! It will be very nice when he gets out of that phase!

The Opening Day Ceremonies were today! Fairly organized, but just ran a little toolong for us. We totally skipped out on the meal that was done for after. Of course, alot of that was because Michael was going on 2 hours of sleep, Smokey had been at home in his cage for over 3 hours alone, Ryan was a G-Ma's and Michael still needed to go home and sleep more to go back to work tonight. He hits well (we need to get a heavier bat at home for him to practice with) and runs the bases like a rockstar (once he gets to going the right way - ROFL!)! But the outfield we lose him altogether most of the time. Unless a ball is coming his way. But otherwise he's quite happy to lick the dirt from wherever has it. Yuck.

I really didn't take too many photos. There was just too much going on and it was taking both of us to keep him focused most of the time. And - they didn't have his shirt in yet (this next week apparently), so to me - I want photos of his whole suit!

His PT came for part of it - that was nice! Several of her kids are playing, so she had lots of reasons to come watch for a bit! It was cold and cloudy this morning too - breezy! No fun!

I feel so - chaotic is totally the right word here. My house is just so cluttered and crowded with stuff right now. Too many toys. Too much stuff. And it takes so much time to go through it all. And then I have no where to store it until we can do something with it. We're going to have to have a garage sale here soon. So I put it into the garage to store, but then that is getting really cramped and crowded and I haven't gone through hardly anything yet! UGH! I had e-mails to do backed up in my account (answered and cleaned those out right before this). I have Songbird Avenue things to take care of that I've put off for 3 nights. I surfed the internet and my kits on my harddrive last night for over an hour trying to decide on a kit to use for a page that's in my head and just couldn't get inspired by anything. For goodness sake's - the page is already pretty much designed in my head and I still couldn't get it done! My weight is out of control, yet again. And I just don't feel like changing it yet.

I watched this Oprah show the other day about "Do you think this clutter makes my butt look fat" (or something to that effect) a book that guy from "Clean Sweep" wrote. And it made sense to me. Not so much that the clutter makes me fat, but that you totally have to be in this mindset for change to occur. That if you have that mindset to change things, you will. I know that I ebb and flow between doing this and that I'm totally working my way up to attacking everything. But I'm just so not there yet for some reason. But it's coming. I feel so good with what we've done with the kitchen - it looks so great! And I totally laid into like 4-5 years worth of Scrap Magazines this week and whittled down that pile (of course they are part of wha't stacked up in the garage now - LOL!). Moved things around alot. But I know there's a whole lot more to attack. And I totally need to address my weight - soon.

I did get new running shoes kinda for Valentine's Day. That's one more step in the right direction.

I just hate how weighted down I really feel right before all this. Just totally don't want to face/do any of it. Doesn't make sense, but I procrastinate about it all. Just drag my feet. I want to paint this entire house inside and out too. But that takes time that is a precious commodity around here = time with peace to do things - not time with 2 boys and a puppy, and therapists underfoot (not that they are, but they are here and I can't paint while they're here).

Well - I've totally rambled with this post, but once again chaotic, right?

For a catchlight assignment, playing in the living room this afternoon...

Had kinda a crappy day today. It rained all day - which is nice again. But it's getting to be that when everything dries out, it rains and mucks it all up again. Remind me of this when we've gone like 100 days without rain, right? Smokey goes out, has fun playing and then brings his muddy paws inside. Tired of cleaning up him and the floor! :)
Cleaned up in the computer room some more today. Weeded out tons of scrap magazines and a few paper supplies to make room for it all up on the table, not under it where said puppy can get to it and chew it up. Still have a few more things to get put away then I can move onto behind the chair in the living room... another hiding spot that he's found.
And yes - he's still waking up at 5am.
It's our anniversary this weekend. It's the Daytona this weekend. It's Matthew's 1st T-Ball game (in the rain) this weekend. It's a 3-day weekend. Hopefully it will be a fun weekend...

Sometimes beauty can grow in the smallest of places...
I planted these flowers in one of my pots that is out by the mailbox. They come back each year (with more flowers each year), not in the pot, but on the ground around it. This year, with all the rain, they are everywhere. In the rocks clear across the driveway, in the neighbor's yard, clear across their driveway, and in the cracks of the driveway it's self...

I was trying to take a photo of the kitchen, but this little guy had a different idea...

They have someone hired for his one-on-one aide at school. She should be starting towards the end of next week. Hopefully it will all work out and she'll be here through the end of the school year. Lisa ( from school) said something tonight to me that made me smile and feel better. She said that all things happen for a reason, which is something that I have said for 6 years now. Since Matthew. So - I take that as a sign that all is going to be alright!

It's supposed to be sunny and 70's here this weekend. They said it has been WEEKS since it was that warm here and I believe it! We need to work in the yard.

I saw Oprah's show yesterday on clutter. Boy... does it make me want to go through my whole house and purge. We already started on Monday with the kitchen and have done some in the playroom. but I want more. Time to trim the fat. I just need more time in the day without little ones underfoot.

Little ones. Smokey has turned into a toddler from a baby. He's actually slept for 7 hours twice this week. At once. Yes - I got 2 nights of uninterupted 7 hours of sleep. Amazing. LOL! He's about an inch taller than the cat now and growing like crazy. He's starting to listen and get routines down. He's not running for the pantry every time I open the door, instead will watch and see what I'm coming out with. Unless it's close to chow time, then all bets are off. LOL! He's one more reason to clean and purge. He gets into everything. We got into the habit of storing things on the floor (toys behind a chair in the living room, 5 years worth of scrap magazines under a table, toys in baskets in the playroom) and it just doesn't work with a puppy around!

I know there was more I was going to say, but darn if I can remember waht it was - LOL! So, good nite!

Hello there...

You can keep on reading until you run into photos you've seen. I made this a new post, but I catch up with the daily photos below this...

We had lots of rain on Monday (as Mud Puppy shows), so Michael and I tore into something we've been talking about for like a year now.

Looks better, huh? We removed the one cabinet altogether, and put it into the laundry room over my washer/dryer to put the laundry detergent into to hide it more. Then we took the water cooler out of the pantry that's beside the fridge and put the shelves back into it to use it as a pantry again. Michael had to make new shelves for it. We had the original ones at one time, but we must have thrown them out, for we couldn't find them. I don't have any good "after" photos yet, so will try to take some tomorrow.
Baseball practice went better last Saturday. He still kept trying to escape to the park.
The kids pitched in and we bought Snow Buddies to watch tonight. Cute puppies, cute movie!
I have a recipe tag to do, but I am really fading fast, so will come back and do it tomorrow, k?
Night!
