Only 2 more sleeps...

We haven't had any new PAD prompts, so thought I'd come update here quickly!

We made marshmallow snowmen and sugar cookies on Friday... FUN!

Ryan had a friend spend the night that night too - they had a good time! :) I got quite a bit done, for the 3 of them played nicely together! I ended up getting Matthew to sleep and letting the other 2 stay up for a bit, then I moved Matthew into bed with me, so Ry's friend could have his bed. Worked out pretty well, except I didn't sleep good with Matthew in the bed - LOL!

I got the 2007 Ornaments done for this year...

A couple scrapbook pages, but I can only show you one! ;) See credits here.

And I made toppers for reindeer food! See credits here.

Today I did take a few photos of Ryan to stand in for the photos I didn't get for his birthday! Some turned out pretty good, then Matthew got into the mix and things went downhill from there... LOL!

K - I'm off to wrap presents! Good night!

Day 19 - Grateful

Day 19's prompt is something that we are grateful for. After a conversation with my best friend today, I realized how grateful I am for the yearly Christmas cards that we get from friends and family. I love seeing how big their kids have gotten and catching up on their lives...

The 1st thing that popped into my head at the prompt was Michael, but I didn't think I could get him to sit for a new photo today, so I used this one that I took last month. :)

Passed out the rest of the teachers gifts today. I didn't make anything this year, for the 1st time ever. Used the $1 felt buckets from Target, a $5 card for Blockbuster, a $5 card to Coldstone Creamry, a chocolate bar, a KitKat and a bag of microwave popcorn - all for a movie night at home. Everyone seemed to like them - so that was cool!

Christmas cards are in the mail. I still have 2 more small packages to get mailed out in the next day or two. Used goodies from Shabby Miss Jenn and Gina (DDE) on this years letter - I think it turned out very nice... Used a store bought card and added this photo into it...

We went and looked at Christmas lights last night. There's one cul-de-sac that every house decorates that we go to every year - it's so cool! I tried to take photos, but of course they didn't all come out...

Spongebob was Matthew's favorite! It was a new display this year....

My favorite were these pengiuns with the polar bear...

They wrap this cactus every year also and it's always so pretty!

Matthew walked right up to this Santa and said "Hi Santa! It's Matthew!" Tooooo cute!

One side of the street....

I helped out in Ryan's classroom today with the Holiday celebration. We had hot chocolate, donut holes, cookies and candy canes! It was fun!

Then I went into Matthew's room to see if they needed any help with their party and got to stay for it! Too busy with all those little ones in there to take any photos - oh well! Fun morning though!
Still feeling overwhelmed with the things I still need to get done. And now the boys will be home with me the entire time! Woot. Alright - off to see what else I can accomplish tonight! :)

Day 18 - Numbers 2&5

Day 18 - Numbers 2&5, originally uploaded by Rynonut Mom.

Took Matthew's blocks and put them on the tree! You can see me in the ornament...

Catching up on my PAD challenges - keep on going down until you catch them all! :)

Still busy, busy and scrambling to get everything done! Have the cards done and going into the mail today...

Most of the shopping is done. Still need a couple things, but not much. I'm really tired of going to the stores shopping - LOL!

Ryan's 10th birthday was this last weekend. I'm totally bummed for I didn't have a CF card in my camera, so I have no photos. Zero. Soooo bummed. Will have to talk him into taking some photos for me as birthday portraits. Have a few ideas for some...

Well - quick post, but not much more to report! Have a great day! :)

****** edited to add******

I forgot to say what I did yesterday! I had my first facial and massage ever yesterday! My dad got my mom & I gift certificates to a spa last Christmas and we just got around to doing them yesterday! VERY nice! My face is so soft and smooth and my shoulders were actually relaxed again for a bit! LOL! I'm kinda glad we waiting until now to use them - it was nice to have 2 hours of peace and quiet and to focus on myself for a bit... and fun to have mom there with me! :)

Today's prompt was to take a photo of a word or a letter. I'd just bought this from the $1 spot at Michael's this morning, so it was perfect for that prompt!

Todya's prompt was to take a photo of a lighted candle... so - here's my tart burner, burning a Yankee tart (can't remember what flavor - some Cranberry something...) with the tree in the background.

2x's

today! Woot!

Here's today's PAD, our prompt was our Christmas tree...
And then I tried some shots with the tree more in the background and got some really good ones! :) They actually co-operated for a bit. Candy cane bribery can work wonders...

And, just for fun... can you tell what I did with this photo?

Seems like forever...

and maybe it is, LOL! I really am beginning to think that it's easier to update this once a day, for then there's not so very much to have to update at once- LOL! I think I'll break it down...

Scrapping...
Haven't done a ton. period. It's just that time of year when I have way too many things to do. period.

I don't think I ever shared my last month's Songbird Avenue kit page here, so here ya go...

Using a photo of Ryan from last year... go here to see all the goods...

Then there's this month's kit, Noel...
And my page, once again from last year's photos... Go here...

And a page I did this weekend using a photo from the 1st Holiday DS Party that we went to last weekend... See here...

Photography - LOVE my new camera - so much faster!!! Been taking quite a few photos.

First from last week's DSNetwork Holiday party.... (along with the photo in said above page)

It was cold and rainy that day (last weekend we got almost 2" in a day - we've had 2" since the beginning of the year until then... BIG news around here. We also got rain again this weekend - same thing! :0 ) Anyhow - good times! They had lots of little games set up for the kids, catered Mexican food, Santa and the petting zoo again! Ryan was in heaven in the petting zoo again! And the location was once again just gorgeous!

Yesterday we went to the SDSA Holiday Party. Once again - a great time. It was at a hotel this year and catered byt them with lots of good food. Another visit with Sant (Matthew (&Ryan) have seen this Santa every year since he was born! Ooops I take that back - we might have missed one year - maybe. I'll have to look - good page idea! LOL!) Certainly not the best photo, but there were alot of people there and it was crowed and pretty dark. But life's not always perfect, huh? And it's the memory that counts! We took my Mom with me to this one, for Michael needed to sleep so he could work last night and he's still going to work tonight too...

I'm also participating in a 25 Days of Christmas Photo A Day Challenge that Val is putting on. Pretty fun so far!!! I'm trying to keep mine as Christmas themed as possible, with only one day so far not being a Christmasy photo. I'm just going to link you to my photos so far here, 'cause I'm just too lazy to load them all again. Now that I've updated blogland, I'll try to post each day's one as I go... -

One year - I want to do a 25 days Christmas album, like Ali or like Shimelle's class that Lee is taking... Some day...

Speaking of Lee - she sent me a mate to the super cute Angel Koala Bear that she sent me last year. Surf's up! brings such a smile to my face every time I see it on the tree! :) She's so on the ball - I think this is the 3rd year running that she's the first Christmas goodies that we've recieved!

I actually went into a scrapbook store this week for a bit. I haven't set foot in a "real" LSS in forever! LOL! I did find the SLR bag there that I've been wondering about and I do like it! Just not sure if I like it enough to send $70 on it... or if I can justify getting yet another camera bag. My backpack is just too big to tote everywhere. I bought a purse at Target on clearance and lined it with the foam inserts and it's ok, but kinda hard to carry the camera with lens and two other lens. My little one for only the camera and the lens on it is great, but it has no room for keys or phone or anything. I do have one bag that will carry the body and 2 lens, but no more than that - ROFL! See my delemia??? So- maybe... Aw fudge - just found it online at WM, but it says not available online - I would have bought it at that price... Will have to scour the 4 or 5 WM's that we have here close...
